How do I receive my order?
Immediately after your purchase you’ll be forwarded to a page with download link(s), so you can get to work right away. Also, a link will be emailed to you.
What version of Adobe Creative Suite do I need to use the Tint Pack?
For Adobe Illustrator: CS or newer (That means if you have any version with “CS” or “CC” in the name, you’re good).
For Photoshop and InDesign: You can use any version.
Am I limited to black dots?
Not at all. You can change them to any color you want. In Photoshop you have a lot of choices to adjust colors. In InDesign, you just select the tint with the direct selection tool (white arrow), then click on a swatch. In Illustrator, you can do it like this.
Why 28 lines per inch?
After a lot of testing, we settled upon 28 LPI as a flexible starting point, so artwork can be purposed for print or digital distribution. Tweak the scaling as needed. Try scaling the tints a little smaller for printed artwork … or scale them up for exaggerated dots in web artwork.
I opened your Illustrator Tint Pack files and they’re just blank pages. What am I doing wrong?
Because pattern swatch libraries (like our Illustrator Tint Pack) end in “.ai” most people’s first inclination is to open them like a regular Illustrator document…which results in a blank screen. Instead, open them like this.
Sometimes when zooming in or out of Illustrator, thin lines will appear in parts of my design which contain tiled pattern swatches (like the ones in our Tint Pack for Illustrator). Can I do something about this?
There’s an easy fix. Refer to this post.
